The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant is excited to be partnering with Camp Quality as the Official Charity Partner.
Camp Quality will be partnering with the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant to raise funds and awareness for the wonderful work they do to ensure children impacted by cancer can thrive.
Camp Quality supports children and their families from the first experience of cancer, through every stage: from treatment, to remission and in the case of bereavement. They do this by providing innovative programs and services to these kids and their families, helping them to develop life skills and strengthen their wellbeing.
Camp Quality specifically helps children aged 0-13 impacted by cancer - be that their own diagnosis, or the diagnosis of someone they love.
In hospitals, Camp Quality visits children around the country, providing a friendly face and introducing families to their services. The Camp Quality puppets - Kylie, Mel and Dean - also often join them to ease kids' anxiety, and make them smile. Camp Quality makes around 400 visits to hospitals every year.
In schools, the Camp Quality Primary Schools Education Program puppets visits primary schools and pre-schools of children diagnosed with cancer, and of children who have a diagnosed parent or sibling, free of charge. The puppets talk about the power of positivity, and teach kids about cancer in a way they can comprehend, helping reduce the likelihood of bullying, exclusion and anxiety.
At home, the Camp Quality Kids' Guide to Cancer app contains age-appropriate information about cancer, hospitals, treatment and people who help. They also provide Family Experiences by sharing tickets to events, game or shows, to help families make new memories together.
Away from it all, Camp Quality gives kids and families opportunities to thrive through Kids' Camps, Family Camps and Fun Days. These camps are run in every state and territory, and are full of fun activities to build resilience and life skills. Over 1,000 children impacted by cancer attend Kids' Camps each year, and almost 450 families enjoy the Family Camps.
Camp Quality believes every Australian child impacted by cancer should have every opportunity to thrive. They believe laughter is the best medicine, with the proven principles of positive psychology form the basis for their work.
In partnership with the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant, Camp Quality will be raising funds so that they can continue doing the work they do for children and families all over Australia. You can donate both prior to, and on Pageant Day.

To celebrate the partnership with Camp Quality, National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant is proud to announce The Kindness Experiment. This year's Pageant theme is Shining a Light on Kindness, to remind everyone that many small instances of kindness together, could change the world.
Each week, together with Camp Quality we will share with our community different ways you can shine a light on kindness, whether it's towards your loved ones, friends and colleagues at work or school, or even people you don't know. We encourage our community to share in The Kindness Experiment, and let us know about it on social media.
Post about the ways you are shining a light on kindness using the hashtag #TheKindnessExperiment, and tag National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant and Camp Quality. That way, together we can all share in the kindness.
Camp Quality will be highlighting their special type of kindness - Kid-ness. Kid-ness is the sheer delight of being in the moment, the strength to believe anything is possible and giving with all your heart.
Support Camp Quality to bring Kid-ness back to children impacted by cancer, and follow Camp Quality on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and be following the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to see all of the kindness this Pageant Day.
