The Credit Union Christmas Pageant was in true style a magical and wonderful day that officially kicked off the Christmas season, with Father Christmas arriving in town.
The biggest Pageant in the Southern Hemisphere may be done and dusted, but there is PLENTY more Christmas fun to enjoy around South Australia in the lead up to Christmas.

Cadell Street and Goolwa Oval, followed by fireworks.
Rides, face painting, jumping castles, colouring, letter writing, stage shows, christmas lights and even ICE SKATING. What more could you ask for at the wonderful Santa's Wonderland which is returning again this year.
On from the 7th of December all the way up until Christmas Eve, you can experience a world of Christmas Magic at the showgrounds.

One of the best, FREE, things to do in the lead up to Christmas is to jump in the car and go and see all of the beautiful Christmas lights displays!

The Light of Lobethal Christmas Festival, 10 Dec - 31 Dec
South Australia is famous for the Lobethal Lights, which ever year light up the Main Street of Lobethal in the Adelaide Hills in a playground of festive colour! Did you know, it's the largest Community Christmas Light Display in the Southern Hemisphere?
While you're there, there is also a nightly Living Nativity, Santa's Cave and local markets and street stalls.
Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga Christmas Nights and Festive Lights, 15 - 23 Dec
Every day from the 15th to the 23rd of December, from 4pm-9pm, you can enjoy a festive playground in Victoria Square, complete with colour, live music, food trucks, and even Christmas movies!!
There's an exciting program of events on offer, include stage shows with magicians and music, carols, DJ and acoustic tunes, festive food from some delicious food trucks, plenty of games and toys, and most excitingly, a life sized Santa Sleigh and Rudolph the Reindeer display made of over 130,000 Lego Bricks! You don't want to miss that one!

Ninth Avenue, St Peters, Throughout December
On Ninth Avenue in St Peters you'll find a street lit up with Christmas cheer. Drive, or walk, down the street taking in all of the beautiful displays put up by the residents.
Who said nothing in life was free!
Westminster School Christmas Lights, 14th - 20th December
Down at Westminster School in Marion is a beautiful display of Christmas, where you can take a stroll through the grounds to see the thousands of twinkling lights.
There'll also be sing-a-long carols, and you can even see Father Christmas while you're there!
West End Brewery Christmas Lights, late November to New Year's Day
So many South Australians have memories of going down to the West End Brewery in Thebarton and seeing the iconic display of Christmas along the River Torrens riverbank.
It's a free event to be enjoyed day or night, but night is especially beautiful! There'll also be food and drinks available for purchase, plus some carnival amusements!
Loxton Lights Festival
Now in its 27th year, the Loxton Lights Festival is a joyous festive celebration for locals and visitors alike. Situated in the Riverland, 2 and a half hours from Adelaide, Loxton is a great place to visit for relaxation, food and wine, and of course the Christmas Festival.
