Experience the 2020 National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant at Adelaide Oval

The 88th National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant will be a twilight event at Adelaide Oval on Saturday 14 November, allowing a COVID-safe crowd to attend the treasured event. For those who are unable to attend, the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant will be broadcast exclusively and LIVE in South Australia on Channel Nine and live-streamed on 9Now for those interstate, ensuring that the majority of Australians do not miss out on this wonderful event.

We want to make sure all the seats are allocated and filled with children and families on the night. Please only register for the ballot if you’re able to attend the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant on Saturday 14 November from approximately 6pm – 9pm. Please be aware that registering for the ballot does not mean you are attending the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant. Once the registration closes, Ticketek will run the ballot which will randomly allocate tickets and you will be notified via email if you are successful or unsuccessful.

Please read the below details on the ballot registration process carefully:

KEY DATES:

  • Thursday 29th October - Ballot opens at 10am
  • Friday 30th October - Ballot closes at 10pm
  • Days following registration – You will have received a notification email from Ticketek to letting you know if you are successful or unsuccessful in receiving tickets
  • Digital tickets will be sent via Ticketek to those who are successful in the week leading up to the event
  • Saturday 14th November – Gates to Adelaide Oval will open at 5pm. There will be a pre-Pageant ceremony from 6.30pm. The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant will officially begin at 7pm and finish at approximately 9pm.

KEY INFORMATION:

  • There will be 20,000 balloted tickets available including 3300 through National Pharmacies.
  • The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant will remain a FREE event.
  • The ballot will take place on Ticketek.
  • The ballot will be open from Thursday 29th October at 10am to Friday 30th October at 10pm. The public can register at any time during this period (there is no need to rush as it is only a registration process).
  • In the lead up to Thursday 29th October, a link will be added to this page which will take you to Ticketek to register for the ballot.
  • Please make sure you only enter the ballot if you can attend the event on Saturday 14th November at approximately 6pm – 9pm.
  • Each person who registers will have the option to select up to 5 tickets, including all children and babies.
  • To make sure we can get as many families watching the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant at Adelaide Oval, please only select the number of tickets you require.
  • A Ticketek account will be required to register for the ballot. To ensure a quick and easy registration process, register for a MYTICKETEK account in advance.
  • If you already have a Ticketek Account, make sure all your account contact information is up to date.
  • Once registrations close, entries will be randomly selected for allocation of seating.
  • Digital tickets will be sent in the week prior to the event. We would encourage that prior to registration you identify a digital friendly solution.
  • The seating at Adelaide Oval will be the checkerboard system currently being utilised for AFL matches (the best way to maximise the amount of people that can attend)
  • Make sure you are aware of the COVID Safety measures in place at Adelaide Oval.

REGISTERING:

  • Prior to Thursday 29th of October, have your MYTICKETEK account details ready to go.
  • Make sure all your contact details on your Ticketek account are up to date.
  • Only use one browser or device when registering.
  • Do not refresh the page during the registration process.
  • Keep an eye on the website timer.

We have submitted our COVID Management Plan and have in principal approval for 25,000 attendees to Adelaide Oval on Saturday 14 November.

We are confident that the Pageant team in conjunction with the team at Adelaide Oval will deliver a safe event for all those present. We look forward to hosting South Australian families at this iconic location on Pageant Day.

Beyond the attendees at Adelaide Oval, we are thankful that we have such a great broadcast partner in Channel Nine ensuring families will also be able to enjoy the Pageant from their homes.

A total attendance of 25,000 will be expected with the majority of tickets available for the general public.

20,000 tickets will be accessible via ballot. The remainder of the tickets are utilised for a range of purposes including event operations, community groups, commercial partners, pageant participants, corporate hospitality and contingency holdings (as recommended by the Oval).

Approximately 16,700 tickets will be available via the ballot announced today, with registrations to open on October 29. A further 3,300 will be allocated via ballot through our naming rights partner, National Pharmacies to their members, whose investment in the event ensures it can be delivered for the people of South Australia. National Pharmacies will be communicated directly to its members regarding this ballot.

Ballot registrations will open to the general public on Thursday October 29 at 10am, closing on Friday October 30 at 10pm.

People will need to register via Ticketek with the link featured on this page closer to the date. Please note that individuals will need a Ticketek account in order to register.

There are up to 5 tickets per registration, with a limit of one registration per person.  As the event is a free event, no credit card will be required.

Results of the ballot will be communicated to all successful and unsuccessful registrants in the days following registration. Tickets will be sent digitally the week prior to the event.

Following the conclusion of the ballot registration period, entries will be randomly selected for allocation of seating based on best availability.

Ballot registrations will open to the general public on Thursday October 29 at 10am, closing on Friday October 30 at 10pm.

Each person who registers will have the option to select up to 5 tickets. If successful, the person who registers will be the ticket holder for all tickets. To make sure we can get as many families watching the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant at Adelaide Oval, please make sure to only select the amount you need. All children, including babies, will be allocated a seat.

There will be a link available on this page closer to the date that registrations open (Thursday 29th October). Please note that the ballot will open to the public on Thursday 29th October 2020.  You must have a Ticketek account in order to register.

There will be a small number of competitions and promotions where you may be able to win tickets or secure through the National Pharmacies ballot.

We would encourage that prior to registration you identify a digital friendly solution such as using a friend or family member to assist with the process. 

Customers will receive a confirmation email once they have successfully processed their registration into the relevant ballot. Please note this confirmation email is NOT confirmation of a ticket. Successful registration in the ballot does not guarantee a ticket.

You will be advised in the days following the ballot registration by email whether you are successful or not.

Yes, free public transport will be provided.  If you have a Pageant ticket, and are catching public transport, simply show your digital Pageant tickets for free transport in.

Tickets may not, without the prior written consent of Ticketek and the Seller, be resold or offered for resale at a premium (including via on-line auction or other unauthorised resale sites)

No. Ballot registrations and tickets are not transferable and cannot be on-sold. You may be required to present identification upon entry into the venue.

The benefit of distributing tickets digitally is that you will be able to have an electronic copy on hand. Ticketek however will send a reminder via SMS on the day of the event.
If you do misplace the original email, we encourage you to log into your Ticketek account.

The wonderful news is that the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant will be broadcast exclusively and LIVE in South Australia on Nine and can be live streamed on 9Now for those interstate.

We are encouraging everyone to enjoy and celebrate the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant at home with loved ones.  This will be a day to start some new traditions, such as setting up your Christmas tree, drawing your own blue honour lines, recognising our first responders, or creating a mini-Christmas feast.

We are also working behind the scenes to deliver an incredible social media program where we can engage with as many people as possible and share and celebrate our Pageant Day experience with the hashtag #PageantAtHome.

The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant will be broadcast exclusively in South Australia on Nine and 9Now.

The Pageant team have worked closely with SA Health, SAPOL and Adelaide Oval to put in place measures to ensure we deliver a COVID Safe event.

We have an approved COVID Management Plan and will ensure all mitigation strategies are in place as we deliver this magical event for the families of South Australia.

Gates will be open from 5pm.

Yes, you are able to bring food and drinks into Adelaide Oval for the event. Please note that you are not allowed to bring glass bottles, cans or eskies.
Refreshments will also be available for purchase from the kiosks at the venue.

We have a small number of seats available for those requiring a quiet or sensory friendly area, however this will be managed on a case by case basis.  If you are successful in your registration and require access to these seats, please email christmaspageant@sa.gov.au

We can appreciate that for some children, it may be past their bedtime. but we believe it is a very unique and special time.  We are so excited to share this wonderful experience and event.

The Pageant can be viewed exclusively from your home on Nine and viewed anytime on demand on 9Now, for those looking for more flexibility. There will also be a special replay on Nine on Christmas Day.

We have been incredibly fortunate that our major sponsor, National Pharmacies, has been a great support to the Pageant team during this year’s planning process. We would also like to acknowledge and thank the support of the South Australian Government of course, along with our event partners including Channel Nine, SAPOL, SA Health, Adelaide Oval and all who have helped us continue the tradition of delivering Father Christmas to the people of South Australia.
