The 88th National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant will be a twilight event at Adelaide Oval on Saturday 14 November, allowing a COVID-safe crowd to attend the treasured event. The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant will remain a FREE event and tickets will be available via a random ballot system. The ballot will be open for a limited time only in which you must register your interest in obtaining tickets. Tickets will be randomly allocated via an electronic draw.
Ballot registrations will open to the general public on Thursday October 29 at 10am, closing on Friday October 30 at 10pm.
The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant have announced a float design and building initiative with the South Australian Living Artists (SALA) Festival for the 2021 event.
The initiative offers the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant a platform to engage with and discover new concepts and artists who are encouraged to submit their designs for an original Christmas float for the Pageant in 2021.
Aligning with independent arts organisation SALA, the competition is open to all South Australian artists in design, drawing, painting or sculpting. The winning float design will be brought to life to appear in next year’s Pageant. The winner will also receive $2,000 in prize money generously donated by National Pharmacies.
The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant Royal Family is a time-honoured tradition which plays an important role in the Pageant, not only by welcoming Father Christmas on Pageant Day but also sharing the joy and spirit of the event with communities in the lead up to the event.

Since 1933, the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant has grown to become one of Australia's most cherished events, celebrated every November with the support of National Pharmacies and the South Australian Tourism Commission's events arm, Events South Australia.
As the Southern Hemisphere's largest public parade, it marks the official welcoming of Father Christmas to Australia, with the man in red greeted by well over 325,000 excited parade-goers in 2019 waving their favorite floats by from behind the 'Blue Honour Line'.
