THE COUNTDOWN IS ON! BRINGING THE JOY OF CHRISTMAS TO SOUTH AUSTRALIA IN...

We're returning to Rundle Mall in 2024

We're returning to Rundle Mall in 2024

After winding through the streets of Adelaide, Father Christmas's journey will end where it all began - in Rundle Mall.

From Beehive Corner, Father Christmas will be led by a band and dance group through Rundle Mall to a landing stage at the Gawler Place canopy where he will deliver a special Christmas message to the people of South Australia.

Entries are now open for the 2024 Mini Float Competition

We are calling on Primary School children in South Australia to get creative and design a Mini Float that will be built and showcased in the 2024 National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant.

This is a wonderful opportunity to put pen to paper, colour pencils and whatever other tools young creative minds can conjure up to imagine, craft and create a Pageant mini float.

Watch the 2023 National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant

Over 320,000 families put on their best Christmas outfits and lined the streets to watch the largest Christmas parade in the Southern Hemisphere.

Floats, elves, clowns, dancers and bands marched along the 3.7-kilometre route before Father Christmas greeted the public to start the festive season in South Australia.

Since 1933, the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant has grown to become one of Australia's most cherished events, celebrated every November with the support of National Pharmacies and the South Australian Tourism Commission's events arm, Events South Australia.

As the Southern Hemisphere's largest public parade, it marks the official welcoming of Father Christmas to Australia, with the man in red greeted by well over 320,000 excited parade-goers in 2023 waving their favourite floats by from behind the 'Blue Honour Line'.
