The 2026 National Pharmacies Royal Family has officially been crowned as excitement continues to build for the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant on Saturday 14 November

The Pageant Royal Family is chosen from team members across National Pharmacies’ statewide network following a rigorous application process. Queen Alex and King Michael from National Pharmacies’ Adelaide Head Office were selected to represent the organisation and share the magic of this South Australian tradition as the Pageant celebrates its 94th year.

Supporting the Queen and King are Princess Ojus, Princess Kristina, Prince Isaac and Prince Vinny, with all six Pageant Royal Family members recognised for their commitment to community service and passion for National Pharmacies’ values and the spirit of the Christmas Pageant.

National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant Director Brian Gilbertson AM said the event’s first Pageant Royal Family was crowned in 1939.

“The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant marks the start of the festive season in South Australia, and the Pageant Royal Family is among its very special traditions,” Mr Gilbertson said.

“We’ll see the Royal Family out and about ahead of Pageant Day to share good cheer, along with travelling aboard the Christmas Ball float on 14 November and encouraging the crowd to welcome Father Christmas to Adelaide.”
National Pharmacies Chief Customer Officer Alex Palin said the 2026 Royal Family reflected National Pharmacies’ purpose: to care for people, enable health and inspire wellness.

“We are delighted to see Queen Alex and King Michael recognised alongside the entire Royal Family for the important roles they hold across National Pharmacies and the wider community,” Mr Palin said.

“Their dedication to caring for others is an inspiration and also reflects the values our National Pharmacies team uphold every day of the year.”

Pageant Queen Alex Ward said she was thrilled to be taking part.

“To join the team in an event that brings more than 300,000 people to the streets of Adelaide is simply a dream come true,” she said.

Pageant King Michael Groth said he was most looking forward to seeing thousands of smiling faces on the big day.
“The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant shares magic and gives a sense of possibility to everyone who sees it,” he said.

The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant will take place through central Adelaide from 9:30am on Saturday 14 November.
