A Royal Tradition

The National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant Royal Family is a cherished tradition dating back to 1939, when the first Queen was appointed to help with wartime fundraising. It wasn’t until 2009, that the Queen and Princesses were joined by a Pageant King and Princes.

Today, the Royal Family are carefully selected from National Pharmacies staff who submit an expression of interest before sitting an interview with the judging panel. It is customary for the Royal Family to uphold National Pharmacies core value of giving back to the community and sharing a passion for the Pageant.

During their reign, the duties of the National Pharmacies Royal Family not only include welcoming Father Christmas on Pageant Day but also sharing the joy and spirit of the event with communities in the lead up to the event.

The 2024 National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant Royal Family has officially been announced.

2024 Royal Family

Queen Kerryn

Pharmacist in Charge - Victor Harbor, National Pharmacies

Queen Kerryn is a well-known face around Victor Harbor and Inman Valley, where she's grown up and is an integral member of the community. Kerryn is involved in the local tennis, football, and basketball clubs and helps with fundraisers for the community. She has memories of watching the Pageant on her dad’s dairy truck on South Terrace. Queen Kerryn is the Pharmacist in Charge at Victor Harbor and has worked at National Pharmacies for 16 years.

King Andrew

2IC - Marion, National Pharmacies

King Andrew has spent the last 16 years building connections with customers through meaningful interactions at various National Pharmacies stores. Andrew has memories of assisting his uncle—who worked for Channel 9—on Pageant Day by dressing up as a clown and helping the broadcast crew. His favourite float is Father Christmas, and if he could magically change anything in the Pageant, it would be to bring some of the costumes back from the very first Pageant in 1933.

Princess Sophie

Memberships Coordinator - Head Office, National Pharmacies

Princess Sophie is a self-confessed Christmas fanatic. Sophie has been involved in every Pageant since National Pharmacies came on board, and one of her favourite floats is Possum Magic. Sophie loves building rapport with National Pharmacies members and fostering strong relationships within the community.

Prince Ravi

Team Leader - Distribution Centre, National Pharmacies

Having spent some time living interstate, Prince Ravi has only ever watched the Pageant from behind a television screen. He's grateful for being selected as a Prince and is looking forward to seeing all the excited faces in the crowd, especially from his two young daughters. For the past 9 years Prince Ravi has worked at National Pharmacies, and he is currently the Team Leader at the Distribution Centre.

Princess Tayla

Dispense Technician - Findon, National Pharmacies

Princess Tayla is in her fourth year studying to be a pharmacist and has worked for five years at National Pharmacies throughout her studies. Her outgoing and confident nature has allowed her to build strong relationships with customers at the National Pharmacies Findon store as well as at her university, where she is part of the Student Pharmacy Association and the Uni Soccer Club.

Prince Matt

Pharmacist - Victor Harbor, National Pharmacies

Prince Matt has been a pharmacist for nearly 20 years and currently works at the National Pharmacies store in Victor Harbor. While he has never been in the Pageant before, he remembers going as a kid since his parents had a shop in the city. Prince Matt's favourite floats are Billy the Bulldozer and Bruto.
