The 2025 National Pharmacies Royal Family has been crowned

In what is a South Australian tradition for more than 80 years, the National Pharmacies Royal Family for 2025 has officially been crowned, marking another exciting milestone as preparations are underway for the much-loved National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant on Saturday 8 November.

The Royal Family is selected from team members from across National Pharmacies' statewide network following a rigorous application process. Queen Lisa Cutler and King David Tassotti were chosen to represent the organisation and embrace the magic of this cherished tradition.

Supporting the Queen and King are the Princesses and Princes - all six Royal Family members were selected for their dedication to community service and enthusiasm for both the National Pharmacies mission and the spirit of the Christmas Pageant.

Minister for Tourism Zoe Bettison said the 93rd National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant would once again herald the beginning of the festive season across South Australia.

“Pageant Day is one of the most wonderful days on the South Australian event calendar, but it also marks the start of a vital Christmas trading season for local businesses.” Minister Bettison said.

“This uniquely South Australian tradition provides joy to the thousands of families that line the streets of Adelaide and watch on from home.

Pageant Director Brian Gilbertson said the Royal Family plays a vital and symbolic role in the celebration.

“This tradition dates back to 1939, when the very first Queen was crowned. The Royal Family will be out in the community in the lead-up to Pageant Day, sharing festive cheer, riding aboard the Royal Christmas Ball float, and encouraging the crowd in welcoming Father Christmas to Adelaide on the 8th November,” Gilbertson said.

National Pharmacies Chief Executive Officer Mark Smith said the 2025 Royal Family proudly embodied National Pharmacies’ purpose – to care for people, enable health and inspire wellness all through the joy of Christmas.

“We are proud to announce the crowning of Queen Lisa and King David and welcome the whole Royal Family to represent National Pharmacies in the Pageant once again this year,” Mr Smith said.

“Their commitment to caring for others reflects the values we uphold every day at National Pharmacies, and we look forward to seeing them bring joy to South Australians during this special time of year.”
